Why I love Halo 3

Theres very few games which I would say I love but I do genuinely love Halo 3.

Theres very few games which I would say I love but I do genuinely love Halo 3. It was one of the first games I bought on the Xbox 360 & I can still remember queing up outside a game shop ten years ago so I could play it. The sad thing is that I also took some days off work especially so that I could play it.

Not being one to buy special editions of games I just got myself the plain edition that you get when you buy a game, it is rare for me to pre-order a game either but I wish I did as players would get this awesome bust of the Master Chief..

To say I wish I got one is putting it mildly, it’s the one item I have seen with a game I regret not getting.

Halo 3 had a campaign which you could play solo or with 3 friends, which I really enjoyed playing, the first level really showed off what the Xbox 360 was capable of. The level where you have to board a flood ship is both exciting and terrifying to get through.

The multi player was the first I played & to put it bluntly. I was rubbish at it. But like all things, you can’t improve without trying. Bungie, the developer of the game has their own special armour in game called Recon which is pictured below and everyone else wanted. The best bit about the whole armour was it was allowed players to unlock sets to use in the multiplayer any way they wanted.

They even included a theater mode where you could watch and edit your own clips, as well as allowing in game photography.

There’s so many options in how you play in the multi player side of the game I have lost count but the option of creating your own custom games and maps made a good game a brilliant one instead. Halo 3 was my only game for over 6 months. That’s how much I loved playing it.
